Micro-Scope is the tool preferred by professional technicians for PC diagnostics. Because of its own bootable operating system designed just for hardware diagnostics, it provides the most accurate benchmarks and diagnostic routines for today’s PCs as well as for legacy systems. OS independence means the same tool can be used to diagnose hardware on Linux systems , Windows systems , DOS systems or on any other PC using IBM-compatible architecture.

Diagnostic routines include memory diagnostics with tests for cache memory, extended memory and expanded memory, hard drive diagnostics, multimedia testing, motherboard diagnostics including CPU, NPU, RTC, CMOS and DMA controllers, port diagnostics and modem diagnostics.

The Micro-Scope diagnostic software also includes utilities for low-level formatting, hard drive or fixed disk editing, monitor alignment, rebuilding the Master Boot record, and identifying all system hardware including IRQs, DMAs, I/O ports and other system resource data. A feature called Secure Wipe provides hard drive sterilization ensuring data security and privacy by erasing data above and beyond requirements of the DoD 5220.22-M standard.

All diagnostic tests including hard drive testing and memory testing can be run individually, or combined in a looped batch mode for burn-in testing or diagnosing intermittent problems. And in a product called the Universal Diagnostic Toolkit, Micro-Scope is combined with Post-Probe, a post reader card for troubleshooting ‘dead’ PCs.
